At this year’s Senior Prizegiving, the Waitakere College Foundation was thrilled to award scholarships to outstanding students pursuing further study. Each year, we provide scholarships to support students excelling in trades and academics, with awards for university fees, trade tools, or a study laptop. This initiative aligns with our mission to empower students as they step into apprenticeships or university. This year we were able to award more than ever – providing 11 academic and trade scholarships. We were able to do this due to the generous donations and sponsorship of local business at our very successful beats by bingo fundraiser. Trustee Matt McLeod had the honor of presenting these awards, celebrating the hard work and dedication of our students. We’re incredibly proud to support their next steps and to invest in their bright futures. Congratulations to all the recipients!
